Competition



The entry fee is 20,000yen per halau.

Tickets are available for 2,000 yen for the participating halau and friends,  as well as participants of the workshop.

 A halau can enter up to four categories:

1. Wahine group hula `auana.
2, Wahine group hula kahiko.
3, Kane group hula `auana.
4, Kane group hula kahiko.

Requirements:

Dancers must be at least high school age.

Group must be composed of at least five people for both Anana and Kahiko.

Both `Auana and `Olapa performances may not exceed 7minutes and should include kai, mele and ho`i. In addition, `Olapa should include Oli. Oli can be performed either by kumu and/or students.

Songs must be in the Hawaiian languege.

Tony Lenchamko, Olana Ai, Aukele Sianco, Ipolami Vawghan and James Dela Cruz and John Aiwohi

Judge paper form all judges will be sent to the Halau with Japanese translation without any additional fee.

Halau who wond the first place will be invited to World Invitational Hula Festival (Hawai`i) to perform as a guest halau.
