The hula of George Holokai
Aukele danced under the instruction of Mster of hula George Holokai for 30 years. She was the front dancer for George Holokai and would accompany him when he goes to teach hula within and outside Hawai`i and in foreign countries. Later his life, George Holokai opened special class to kumu hula of outside his halau, and taught many noted kumu hula such as Keali’i Reichel, and Sony Ching. `Aukele assisted George to teach those kumu hula in this special class too. George Holokai passed away in 2006. Aukele continues to perpetuate George Holokai`s tradition.
La'akapu-a-Kawailani Lenchanko received his commission as loea hula from Master Loea Hula Kaha'iali'ika'iwi'ulaokamehameha Topolinski . The 'ailolo acknowledged his elevation from kumu hula and 'olohe hula to hula exponent. The recognition is based upon his adept personification of the skills learned from the masters of this native Hawaiian logo-centric art. La'akapu seeks to be a witness to the tenacity of his teachers and provide the same opportunities he received to the hula community in Hawaii and abroad. Halau O Kawailani is comprised of three components: Ka Pa Hula A La'akapu (Hula Ala'apapa / Hula 'Olapa / Hula Ku'i / Hula 'Auana); Na 'Opua O Ke'alohilani (Mele Oli / Oli); and 'Aha 'Oiwi Kanaka (Hawaiian Native Assembly)]

The family of John waialeale Aiwohi is a very large Hawaiian hula dancers and musicians.
So when he was a child, he was close to hula. After gaining a career as a dancer from childhood, he learned hula in earnest to be Kumu hula from Kalani Akana who is a Kumu hula. And then, he achieved Uniki in 2003.

He serializes in "Let's study the Hawaii language(ハワイ語を学ぼう)" to 'HULA HEAVEN', and "Pele and Hii'aka side story(ペレとヒイアカサイドストーリー)" to 'nice hula style' of the hula magazines. His translation(joint translation) is "101 Hawaiian songs(101曲のハワイアンソング)"(Icarus publication), and books(allotment writting) is "towards the reration of the Hwaii lamguage of the crisis of the disappearance(消滅の危機にあるハワイ語の復権をめざして)"(Akashi shoten), etc.

He was born in 1952. He graduated from university fourthly in Paris Department of Literature and Department of Literature at Hosei University. He went on an expedition to the unexplored region in the world by the spelunker. He frequented the Hawaii island, and he surveyed the cave in Manua Loa in 1980's. He is a translator and an essayist through the publisher work. He writes a book and lectures about nature and culture of Hawaii. The lecture of the culture course of Asahi Shinbun, "Hulalea"magazine, and spa resort Hawaiians also serves.
